O QUE É ANSIEDADE MATEMÁTICA?
A AM é considerada a tensão, apreensão ou mesmo medo diante da manipulação de números e da resolução de problemas matemáticos (Ashcraft, 2002 ; Moustafa et . al., 2017).
Estudos indicam que muitas pessoas agem de forma negativa diante da matemática, podendo apresentar traços ansiosos severos (HEMBREE, 1990; ASHCRAFT, 2002; MALONEY; BEILOCK, 2012).
Em média 30,6% dos adolescentes ficam muito nervosos quando têm que resolver problemas matemáticos (OECD, 2015). Trata-se de um número expressivo, tendo em vista que essa fase é o momento em que muitos jovens focam em sua escolha profissional.
